The instructions for finding the car hire company at Dubrovnik airport were not clear. Expecting a desk in the airport as per instructions_ but eventually found them 500m down the road after a frustrating hour of searching and being misadvised. For a while they didn’t answer WhatsApp msgs. Updating the instructions would be very helpful. I wasn’t the only one at the time who couldn’t find them

Surprising additional fees when picking up the car. - car cleaning fee (12€ before rental if not declared 25 €) - declaration of whether the ferry will be used ( 25 € before rental if not declared 850 € ). - If you want to return the car an hour later despite the telephone declaration_ a fee per 24 hours applies.
