Interesting situation_ maybe it is only my problem. Everywhere it is stated _better arrive earlier to pick your car despite stated pickup time than later as ...._. Well_ I came an hour in advance and ...was not given the car with explanation (you know_ insurance will not be valid if you pick up car now_ and hour before the stated time.) What the ... I had standard insurance_ also I had excess insurance_ but I wasn_t given the car. When I came after hour_ had to wait in the all queue again.
The waiting time in the queue for the check-out desk was 2 hours
All straight forward apart from being pushy re upgrading the car (fair enough)and taking out additional insurance to cover excess (way above third party offers) by making it clear that a charge of €1400 would remain on my card for up to 30 days_ suffice to say i could see that it was a money grabbing (how I saw and felt at the time) exercise and stuck to my original request and third party excess cover.
My Concern was I should have been notified before I got to Barcelona to be told that the model I had chosen was not available there therefor we had to have two changes which was done satisfactory.
