Would prefer to be able to select zero excess without having to claim back from 3rd party insurer - this should also be made clear on the booking form.
What I had not realised when booking was that when taking the insurance cover_ this was merely taking a partial payment towards a $6000 excess. I would never book through a booking agent again_ and would rather pay the insurance excess cover to the provider directly to actually bring down the excess to under $1000.
